How do you demonstrate respect for dead writers? Here's a few ways how.
1. You never forget what they have done.
2. You don't let others forget what they have done.
3. You honor them by continuing to put them up, even though they are gone.
Here are a few examples of mine. When I look at them, I'm disappointed that I haven't done more.
1989 memorial for HATE (RIP) by Agent, Mite, Hex and Take2
1992 memorial for HATE (RIP) by BboyB and Take2 (Character sketch by Slang)
2004 Shout outs to VANDAL (RIP) and HATE (RIP) by Take2
I see MUL putting ESC up all the time...
REST IN PEACE to all of the dead writers. And let no one take their names.

1. I remember what kind of person they were. i.e.,Marty "Heckle" a gentle giant, with a personality that invites all to join, no matter what background you are from. I was a tiny looking Beastie Boy and he welcomed me with open arms. My Guardian Angel.
2. I let people know about the first time I met HATE/INKIE running tunnels with MENE and he thought I was a toy...I had to prove myself and I more than did. At his funeral, his mother clutched me tightly because I looked a lot like him. He was able to hear my first record before he passed. A dear friend, SEVERE ensured that I knew that.
3. While touring the world in several countries, I would tag if I could and sticker bomb subways in Tokyo, Berlin, Norway, Moscow and Canada and put up Hate/Kre-8/Vandal. In one of my song lyrics I even say "How could Hate, Create such a Vandal...?"
Never forget where you came from...even if you are trying so hard to forget the past.
