I'M JUST WONDERING ABOUT THIS!!
WHEN THE SUBWAY GRAFF SCENE IN CHICAGO WAS ALL LIVE AND DIRECT BACK IN THE DAY,DID YOU GUYS HAVE CERTAIN SUBWAY STATION STOPS WHERE YOU
GUYS WOULS ASSEMBLE AT TO WATCH THE TRAINS W. PIECES RUNNING ON THEM?
HERE IN NEW YORK,WE WOULD CALL IT "THE WRITERS BENCH"!!,ANY CERTAIN SUBWAY STATION WHERE WRITERS WOULD COME TOGETHER AND NEITHER CONGREGATE,START OR SETTLE BEEF W. WRITERS YOU MAY NOT HAVE LIKED IN THE PAST OR JUST TO PLAINLY BULL&%$#!!.
WE HAD VARIOUS WRITERS BENCHES AT CERTAIN LOCATIONS HERE IN THE CITY,WE HAD THE E.149TH ST. & GRAND CONCOURSE STATION ON THE 2 AND 5 LINE(AN UNDERGROUND STATION WHERE THEY FILMED A FEW SCENES FROM THE
DOCUMENTARY CALLED "STYLE WARS" AT W. CASE 2,SKEME,HAZE,DEZ AND MARE 139(SHY 147'S BROTHER)) AND WE HAD THE E. TREMONT AVENUE STATION,AN OUTDOOR STATION IN THE BRONX WHICH WAS A PERFECT SPOT FOR CATCHING THE FLICKS OF ALOT OF NICE BURNERS THAT WERE RUNNING ON THE 2'S AND 5'S!!.
THOSE WERE THE GOOD OL DAYS OF THE GRAFF SCENE HERE IN NEW YORK,I WISHED THAT WAS A SUCH THING OF BEING ABLE TO GET INTO A TIME MACHINE & BE ABLE TO GO BACK INTO TIME TOO AND RELIVE THE GRAFF SCENE HERE IN NEW YORK THE WAY IT USED TO BE!!

The major Writer's Bench during the early 90's and maybe earlier was Belmont Station on the Howard. It was a free transfer station of our Howard and Ravenswood Lines. Writer's would come here to socialize as well as monitor activity running on the lines. It was the scene of many a fights and meetings of the minds to squash or initiate battles amongst crews. Also, the plus was that a major club (Medusa's) was positioned right off the station.
Boy do I wish there was such a machine, the graff scene was so tight back then. Sheit would actually run the lines back then. Now mostly everything done on outsides is sent for buffing immediately. Occasionally you'll get a throw-up or fill-in running at least a half of a line.

today this is the bench...we still sitting our ass' down
there where ghost writers there
we gots ghost fourm posters here....we still all act like we a buncha ghost bustas
they used to be a time when writers would trade marker ideas and ink formulas
now all that sh*t can be found on google...sh*t u even find home mades on ebay
its kinda da same but one thing still is for shure, they used to talk about the peices that got up the night before, we still talk about the same ones today...so was my point, yea we all got love for the old school, but time we all start making a true name for chicagos new school, cause the way its going now chicago could easly get its as raped by some cats from germany, and no offense to germans or euros in general but that aint right

And ZAK, no movie inspired me to write. My uncle from NYC (RIP) inspired me to write after seeing some of his old flicks when I went there.

This site has maybe for some, opened wounds that have eventually healed. For others buried the hatchet. It's medicinal purposes have been displayed by the connection between alot of cats who prior to this resurgence of graff, mainly I think inspired by this site, to get together, squash former beef and create the art we all once adored everyday out of a 3' x 3' window on some colored line. Numerous people have utilized this site as a virtual train ride, the city is buffing sheit within hours. People post those flix here to let people see that Chi still has flava. Our genre within Hip-Hop has to evolve. That united front of graff heads has always been out of sight, too many nikkaz had/have beef, we are all grown now. Do you hate a nikkah more than you would love to see live trains running with burners? Being able to sit under Belmont Station and snap flix with people all around your sheit, hooking up at a party in downtown at some loft with nikkahz painting while you jam to Gangstarr and sip on your favorite libation? Hooking up with about 4 nikkahz in other crews and taking out each station on a line one right after the other? I know that sheit will never happen, a unity between all teams in this game, ending the beef and killin sheit all in the same breath may resuscitate our love. Maybe then we wont need a site to post our conquests, there will be so many people back on the scene, the city will just give up, they dont have the man power to take on a city full of hungry vets waiting to pounce on the cleanest wall or newly buffed steel rolling out of the yard. Some people lost the love and graf headed in a downward spiral because the anomosity created no safe haven for the average city kid to display his love for our culture, some cats migh of been afraid of running into nikkahz, they might whup him and take his paint, nobody wanted to waste 20 canz burning a wall cuz some jealous sukka might dis it with a fill-in or a few flip tagz. Thats why its sooo easy for the city to fight us, we are fighting amongst ourselves, thats why we go out and bust a couple throw-ups with no color, they gonna buff it, just like they gonna buff us if we don't take a stand.
Just some words of love for this sheit and every single chi nikkah no matter who, what or where is dedicated to the survival and preservation of Chicago Graf. One!
I believe graff has been consisent throughout Chicago's history. It will always be alive regardless if this site is gone or not. I say keep it, I say kill it, I love this game!
A solution I see is maybe the site should really be members only with a credibility system, voted on by a panel of peers. That should keep out the rats and pigz as well as the fly by night taggerz and there crewbianz.
